I worked passionately on this record and with great excitement. It is a record that demonstrates a sound that I was tirelessly seeking to attain. I am happy with it and have never been more excited to release a record, as I believe this is a personal reminder to myself that I achieved a sound I worked hard to cultivate. This record is more complex, featuring complex layering, more vocal utilization, etc. As for the name, Fudoshin is Japanese for "immovable spirit," "immovable heart," and equanimity. It is the concept of keeping an unperturbed mind, heart, and spirit in the face of adversity, which is something I strongly believe in. I sought to capture the process of achieving and maintaining this sense of inner balance through the music found on this record.
